I have been buuuuusy. And busy usually translates into not eating healthy. I've done ok. There are a couple temptations that need to be removed from my house and a couple great substitutions made but I think that my husband and I are starting to get the hang of trying to eat alkaline. It's still way harder than it seems. The biggest part is just undoing the programed in eating habits taught in our society.
People don't eat like they did when they grew their own food. I'll be really happy when we have our organic farm up and running and I look forward to experimenting with recipes.
I'm tired and looking forward to my boss being back from his leave of absence.
Off to bed with me!

So this is the first day that I found this site. Funnily enough it was in searching for nutritional facts to write down my calorie intake for the day that I was directed to this site. Also amusing that today was the day I started to keep track of what I eat in my quest for good health and a happy fit body. So far I LOVE THIS SITE and just wish that I had come up with the idea. In fact some of the tracking aspects fo this site are exactly what I have had in mind and have wished there was.
As far as my diet plan, I don't have a diet I'm following, I am making a lifestyle change. My husband and I have been slowly moving towards this change for a few months now and slowly it becomes easier to create these new good health habits. Tracking what you are doing is a great way to keep yourself in check which is why I like this site so much. i love the calendar and being able to look at your calorie and axercise progress all laid out in front of you. I also love that we can expand the data base of food items not just for ourselves but for everyone else.
Today I found out that I tend to not eat enough, which I had suspected, and that I need to get a handle on my food group balancing.
I walked my son to school today which was about 1/2 hour round trip and in my opinion not enough to justtify my current reward of a tanning session.
I feel positive about the future and I'm currently not hungry though I fell short of my total calories for the day by a couple hundred. I'll be more conscious.
Mood-Tired but happy
