This is my first journal on here. As of two years ago I was in a very bad place in my mind. I was being bullied and harassed at the public school I attended, people called me ugly, and I went through quite a few unhappy moments that teens should not have to go through. It got to a point where I was trying to find clothes to wear for the summer before my freshman year and I could not fit into any of the clothes. I ended up going to a k-mart and buying size 18 capris to grow into. I sat and cried my eyes out. I didn't know how I let myself get to that point but I swore I was going to change that.
Over the past two years I have worked out sporadically and changed the way I ate. This also came about after I discovered I could no longer eat preservatives and I became lactose intolerant. I no longer eat hamburgers or heavy meats as they got me sick and I have incorporated more and more fruits and vegetables in my diet.
Since those two years I have gone from nearly 200 lbs as a 14 year old to 162 lbs as a 16 year old. What was once a size 18 I can now go into a Rue 21 (teen clothing store) and wear a size 9 jean. I am doing this now because I would like to get to a more healthy weight. My goal is about 150. Through the turmoil I've been through food was my comfort for so long and I did not exercise at all. My daily routine was eat bad food, go on the computer, and sleep.
As a cyber student I incorporate an hour of working out every day and 15-30 minutes every evening. At this point I am beginning to record my meals, workouts, and calories in a food journal and I stumbled on this website. I hope that with this and working out I can change my life to something healthier. It's my body, it's my life, and it's my responsibility :)
