I have done a lot of recipe research and have found a number of recipes that I want to try. I have tried a few already. I'm making a lot of notes for changing ones I've tried and for trying new ones. This is what keeps it interesting to me. Otherwise, the whole routine gets really boring. But so far I am doing very well with keeping my caloric intake at least 1000 less than the usage each day. And I have lost 2 more pounds!!!

I'm still feeling good about my new healthy lifestyle! I have lost 7 pounds since January 2, although I did not find this site until January 18. It is amazing how much time I am spending on food though. I am still developing my own diet and exercise regime. Mostly, I am keeping my caloric intake to less than 2000 and I am doing Wii fit or walking every day. I have been restocking my pantry, fridge and freezer with better choices that will help keep me on track. And I am revamping some recipes using healthier ingredients than I am used to using. If it works out to be tasty and healthy, I am writing it down in my diet journal (the paper one) as a keeper. I am also trying to add my recipes in my Cook Book here, but that takes time because it's difficult to get the right calories and measurements. I am also browsing through my new favorite cookbook and trying out the recipes in there. It is the
Taste of Home Comfort Food Diet
Cookbook.
I LOVE IT!!!! I am basically using their diet plan and their worksheets. I'm having lots of fun with it because it is so user friendly and the recipes I have tried have been great so far.

Busy day so far. I did some facebooking, cooking and cleaning. Then I did my Wii. Then we went out shopping for new clothes for my son at his request. We went to 4 different stores. I was starving about halfway through, but I did not eat anything until we got home. Now I'm relaxing for awhile. Shopping with a 13-year-old boy is exhausting!
