Just like I said, if I don't eat bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, or even cereal, I will lose weight. That's how I lost the weight before. I just can't eat any carbs. I've been following the Atkins diet...again....and it seems to be working....again. It's tough to stay under the 20 carbs allowed for the day, but I went to the grocery store and bought $150 worth of Atkins meals, shakes, and snacks. Eating the Atkins meals has helped a lot! I'm already following the diet plan in one of my Atkins books and that also helps me when I can't eat a Atkins meal.

YEAH!!! I finally got under 180. I hope it keeps going down, but the way my weight has been going, I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow it's back up over 180.

OK...THE PUSH IS ON! For the weight I want to be, I'm allowed to have 1300 calories per day, however, I've been trying to stay on the Atkins diet and I've been eating protein and green vegetables for the Induction Phase of Atkins. I've noticed that I'm still not losing weight after 5 weeks on this diet when I should be losing weight like a bandit because even though I'm eating Atkins, I'm also watching how many calories I'm eating each day. Here's are the daily calories I've eaten the last 6 days:
Sept. 7 = 1,103
Sept. 8 = 1,025
Sept. 9 = 732
Sept. 10 = 988
Sept. 11 = 960
Sept. 12 = 565
As you can see I'm eating even less than the 1300 calories that I could be eating, but still I'm not losing weight. I've been stuck at 181 for weeks now and I'm sick of it. Am I one of those people that I read about who just can't lose weight? I know that I don't get much exercise because I have a bad knee, but even though I'm not getting exercise, I should be losing weight especially since I'm eating less calories than I'm allowed in a day. What's next? Don't eat any food at all? Starvation?

I'm really, really, really discouraged! I haven't weighed in since Aug. 27th and I only lost ONE-HALF OF A POUND and tomorrow I'll probably be up two pounds. On some days I've eaten less than 1,000 calories and still I haven't eaten any bread, potatoes, rice or pasta since I started this diet. I should be losing weight like crazy! Why can't I lose weight? I'm really thinking Mother Nature wants me to weigh 180 to 185. The first week of my diet I ate only the food that came in the Nutri-system Turbo package and they said I should have lost weight. I DIDN'T!

Since I had such a bad food day yesterday, out of curiosity, I had to weigh myself. Once again, weighing first thing in the morning, naked, after using the bathroom, and before drinking any water, I stepped on the scale and was shocked when it said 178!!! Wow! After eating all that I ate yesterday, I couldn't believe my eyes and thought it had to be too good to be true. IT WAS! I stepped off the scale and then back on again. It read 181.....the same thing it's been reading for a couple of weeks now. I'll bet tomorrow it will be back up to 185 which is what I've been saying right along; Mother Nature is trying to tell me that 185 is what I should be weighing and you shouldn't mess with Mother Nature. However, I keep plugging away at it and I'm trying to stay on the Atkins diet. I guess I need to stay away from restaurants and eating out. I am leading a very dull life on this diet.
