We went out of town this weekend and I have to admit I did not stick to Phase I. I had a grilled chicken Saturday afternoon, with a cheesecake dessert (not a whole slice). Saturday night, I had Wendy's nuggets and fries (even though I didn't eat them all. Sunday afternoon (since we slept in) I had Popeye's chicken and red beans. Sunday night, I made ratatouille with brown rice.
Today, I'm starting again.
It seems its easier for me to follow the plan during the week.
I may consider doing that until I reach my goal - five days on Phase I, two days eating sensibly (meat and dessert included).
I bought some bulgur yesterday at Whole Foods. I compared the fiber and total carbohydrates to that of brown rice and the bulgur has less carbs and more fiber per serving. So, I'm looking for a great recipe. I'll post one when I find something I like.
Also, have increased my workout time to at least 40 minutes per workout. I read an article in Women's Health about increasing walking to 3.5 miles could stave off Diabetes and reduce belly fat.
