Gonna be another long day. I may not be able to resist a beer or two with my crew at the end of it.

I made it! I made it! I didn't stress-eat yesterday! And the ghods have rewarded me by letting me note another pound off! Whoo hoo! Also, a favourite skirt of mine now zips all the way up (I had been using a safety pin for the last few months) so I'm really losing inches, too!
I realised as I was walking around postering the neighbourhood that the theatre festival will be in that I could do a bit of extra planning now, look into restaurants and cafes with healthy options, and then I wouldn't scramble during the festival as much. I'd be able to plan a stop between shows ahead of time, knowing what was there instead of grabbing whatever came to hand because I didn't know when else I'd have a chance.
Last year at this festival I saw 68 shows in 10 days. This year, I'll be doing that AND producing my own show, with venues up to 4 miles apart and only 10-15 minutes in between to cover that distance. I'll be doing it all on foot, with a bag full of posters and flyers (about 40 pounds) on my back. Adding the weight of a cooler and pre-packed breakfasts, lunches and dinners is NOT an option. Nor is sacrificing some of the 4-5 hours of sleep I'll manage each night in order to prepare them a good use of resources. Convenience foods will be the only possible foods, but if I know which Dep has prepared salads, and which rotisserie chicken has a sugarless glaze ahead of time, it'll help make for good choices. There will be times when just grabbing a slice of pizza will be the only possible option, or a chocolate bar is the nearest source of calories, but I'll be running enough to burn off small deviations, if I can keep the majority of my meals healthy.

If I can get through today without stress eating, it will be a miracle. Homw many calories do you think would be involved in biting my nails down to the quick?
I see my doc tomorrow. Just 25 more hours to go.

Well, there's good news and there's bad news.
The good news is that yesterday morning, the strip showed me firmly in ketosis after only two days of a fat fast, which means I could go back to as much salad greens as I want (without dressing, I eat it in handfuls like chips or popcorn when I watch TV), along with lean pork chops, fish, hard boiled eggs, etc.
The bad news was I had a fainting spell. Not a low blood sugar faint, though. A couple of my meds have a side effect of occasional fainting. I know what that feels like, and I know what a low blood sugar faint feels like. I can't really put it in words, but they're very different sensations right before it happens. This was very distinctly a meds one. But when I came to, my best friend (unable to know which kind it was) was feeding me the last few bites of a chocolate bar and a second full-sugar coke.
*sigh* Back to the drawing board. At least another pound came off.
