Need support!
Vicki, welcome to the new you! I use to do things that were convenient for me and my family. Then I realized, they weren't the one's having a weight problem. I was. And only I can change that. So, I started Atkins, originally because of the old atkins. But now, because of the new atkins. I eat so many vegetables now that I never ate before. But the best part was breaking my addiction to sugar. Everyday, I looked at the clock waiting for the next meal. In between, I just want something. Not sure what, but something.
For the first time in my life, I don't look at the clock. I don't feel hungry all the time. That's what sugar/carb addiction does. It is a real addiction, just like alcohol or drugs.
It takes about 3 days without any sugar or refined carbs to break this cycle.
So sit back, fix a nice cup of your favorite tea with a little heavy cream and a packet of stevia (or splenda if you prefer) and just let the days roll by.
If you havn't joined the Atkins forum, please do so. That's were you will find the support you need.

You deserve this!
May God bless your day,

mayo
Typical full fat mayo (most brands) have 0.045g. net carbs., so it would take 23 Tbsp. to equal 1 carb. The only mayo I have found that doesn't add sugar is Duke's brand mayo. The carb amount would be so negligible in a few tablespoons, you would not need to count them.

Grilled chicken Caesar salad, tell them to hold the croutons. Most Caesar dressings have minimal carbs.

Really depressed today.
Darcy,
A rose for you! ---{-@ (On here it doesn't look much like a rose)Hope you are having a better day today. I am very metabolic resistant, and my body hold on to every ounce until it can no longer. It took me 3 months to loose a good 10 lbs. but I kept hanging in there with a lot of help and advise from the good people at Atkins. And guess what? Two days ago my scale starting creeping down half a pound a day. So give your body time to adjust to this and don't give up!

day 6 gained .05 #
Hi Colleen, Try to up your calories to at least 1800. I know this sounds crazy to take in more calories when you put on a bit of a pound. But too few calories makes your body think it's starving and it will hold on to every last ounce. Also try to get in your 12 - 15 net carbs from veggies.
Read your labels, there are hidden sugars in alot of labels that read 0 carbs. Alot of pre-packed meats such as hot dogs and sausage have added sugar so I would use in moderation, not as a mainstay. Try your own roasted meats, chicken, beef, and a grilled steak for a while and see if that helps. Hang in there.
