Still have my cold, but feel a little better. LOTS of garden work that must be done in the next couple of days so I plan to get as much work/exercise as possible. Shopped yesterday and got lots of healthy food on hand, back in the saddle with keeping my calories at or below my RDI and getting daily exercise. Onederland by January 1!

I've been suffering with a terrible cold since Sunday and have not been exercising or recording my food. Unfortunately, my appetite hasn't suffered along with me and I've been eating normally (no sweets or snacks, though). I sort of dread my weigh-in tomorrow morning--hope I haven't lost much ground. BUT, even if I have I'll just keep on keeping on, won't allow myself to get discouraged. "One-derland by January 1!!!"

It's been six weeks since I started here and I've lost 7.4 lbs so far. Lots of ups and downs to get even this far. But, I'm very pleased with my progress and I am really enjoying my new way of eating. Ate lunch at a buffet restaurant yesterday and ate only chicken (fried, of course!) and vegetables. Tried to eat ice cream for dessert and it tasted too sweet so I stopped! I am also feeling so much fitter and more energetic even though I seem to be catching a cold today. I checked my blood pressure yesterday and it was down, even though it had been within healthy range all along. All in all, I feel this is a fine start to a healthier future. If I can do as well in the next six weeks, I should easily reach "one-derland" by the end of the year. That will be fabulous!
