Trying to GAIN weight
Hello! This is an amazing website. Wow, they have everything to such detail (perfect for my type A personality lol).
I need help and I haven't seen many people on here trying to actually GAIN weight so I hope this doesn't seem out of place.
I currently weight 149 and trying to achieve 170-175. I worked many hours on computer and was kind of a "nervous non-eater" meaning under stress or deadlines I just couldn't eat. Since then, I've removed myself from the job that stressed me out and finally ready to take health as a priority.
I have found through this website that I need to intake 3100 calories a day to gain 1lb a week. I am new to this and wonder what % of fat to protein to carbs, etc. that I'm suppose to keep an eye on.
In other words, I'm not sure WHAT to eat to get this many calories. I could eat a pan of lasagna and all sorts of italian food but I'm sure my cholesterol would skyrocket. I really don't know what kind of diet to get on that is somewhat affordable either. I read that there is a type of rice high in protein.. quinoa?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. I'm just looking to gain a lot of weight and will be doing some intense weight lifting as a weekly routine (4 days a week) and just hope to make the right intake decisions.
Thank you!!!
