I was never overweight but had a very unhealthy diet (sweets!). I wanted to get rid of the flab around my abdomen, arms and stomach. I don't get any other exercise apart from general work in the house, gardening (a few hours every other day), if not gardening then an hour's walk. So I guess you could call it low-medium activity.

I weighed around 65kgs in Feb 2020. Most of the unhealthy fat was around my abdomen thanks to bingeing on sweets every now and then. Then the pandemic hit in 2020 and I thought I better do something about my diet.

I went cold turkey and completely gave up added sugar in my diet. Just stopped. I ate everything else (am vegetarian) without any restrictions or counting calories, just not added sugar. I got my sugar fix by bingeing on fruits!

So I weighed 64.5 kgs on 01 Feb 2020. By 1 Dec 2020 I was 54.5 kgs. By only giving up added sugar.

And then I became a little lax and between Diwali in Nov 2021 and Xmas 2021 I binged on sweets. Put on 2 kgs and on 30 Dec I weighed 57.4 kgs.

So my new weight loss journey began on 30/12 - weighing 57.4kgs. I am 54 years old, 170 cm tall and my aim is go down to 55 kgs and then treat myself occasionally, and make sure I don't go over 56kg. This picture is my 2020 weigh loss journey :)

Day 14 (first weighed in on 01 Ja)
I went cold turkey on added sugar in Feb 2020. Along with intermittent fasting (IF) sporadically. I think it was 16 hour day fasts. From 64.5kgs, I lost weight rapidly by only completely removing added sugar from my diet. I ate everything else, fried food and lots of Indian snacks. Didn't bother counting calories either.

By Dec 2020, I was down to 55kgs. Maintained that weight until Oct 2021.

I couldn't resist the Diwali sweets and Xmas treats during Nov-Dec 2021. Soon weighed 57.4 in Dec 2021. I needed to exercise some self control and so I was back to my sugar free diet. Did IF too. And this time diligently counted my calorie intake thanks to this forum feature.

This morning I weighed myself and I was 55.3 Quite stoked Smile Now I just need to exercise more - been too hot to do that these past 3 days.
