Lower weight and sugar level
I love making my own ground turkey or ground beef sausages. You can add whatever spices you want. Soy sauce doesn't have too many carbs and its a great salt alternative. You can make your own gravy with better than Boullion and a little flour!
I stay away from carrots and bananas because they're really high in sugar.
I love different colored bell peppers, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc.
Cottage cheese is a great addition to any meal.
Any seafood is great too! A little olive oil/veggie oil never hurts with a little garlic. YUM!

please help
If you're having a hard time staying away from those yummy processed snacks I have a great fix! If you like Cheezits then you'll love this! Take a few slices of American cheese and slice them into nine identical little squares. Place them around the perimeter of a paper plate and put them in the microwave for about a minute and a half. They'll crisp up and they're a super healthy alternative to regular processed chips! I also like to being them when I'm babysitting for the kids.

Munchies
Coolest thing I read in a magazine today! When you're feeling the munchies and you just don't know if you can handle it on your own...Paint a clear top coat of nail polish on your fingers! No one can put their wet nails into a bag of cookies or chips without ruining them!
