Okay - I had the old fashioned kind of scale and it was getting harder and harder to see the lines! So I broke down and finally bought a new scale this weekend (the WW one that shows the ounces as well as the pounds). But now I don't know what I used to weigh, I don't know what weight I started at, I don't know if I've even lost any weight during the last 3 months of my journey. All I know is what I weigh today and that number is the number I THOUGHT I started at three months ago!! This means that I have just failed at the first challenge I participated in. It sucks, but I can't guess at my weight any longer and will know for sure from this day forward.

I messed up horribly yesterday. Got on the scale and saw I was 1-1/2 pounds down. Feeling happy, I went shopping and then out to eat on the spur of the moment. I ordered ribs with no sauce - figuring that was fine. When I got home I looked at the nutrition values online and saw that the rub on the ribs just pushed me WAY WAY WAY over my carb count. I don't know why I didn't think about that since I know what my husband puts in his rub. Spent the rest of the day in a total funk because of it - would not eata another thing the rest of the day. Weighed myself this morning and am right back up. Oh well, today is another day and the beginning of another week!

This week I am trying the old Atkins, which is virtually no carbs. I just don't know what else to do. I am utterly DESPERATE to get this weight off I've gained since my hysterectomy. I quit taking my HRT about 3 weeks ago and was hoping that would make a difference. Hopefully the old Atkins will give me the jumpstart I need.
