Week 1 is over. I lost nearly 5 pounds so I'm halfway to the 10 pound mark by Thanksgiving with five weeks to go. Amazing how just cutting out breads and cookies (oops) helped. I still managed to get in my dark dark chocolate. It's so encouraging to lose a couple pounds more. Wow, wonder what would happen if I added in the exercise. I do walk about a mile a day at work (to and from the parking lot) but I'm talking about actual planned exercise. Okay . . . maybe the elliptical trainer while I'm watching TV . . . hmmmm. . . let's give that a try!

Back on Atkins. I can't believe, after promising myself that I wouldn't get back over 170, today I'm at 176. Why do I give myself permission to eat stuff I shouldn't? That maple bar I ate yesterday was not worth how it made me feel. So back to Atkins today. I'm excited about the challenge starting Monday to lose 20 pounds by Christmas. So doable!!! So worth it!!!
