Got to play tennis today for 35-40 minutes! Yeah! I could play everyday, but I don't have a partner with that kind of enthusiasm lol. My SIL plays with me and will 2-3 times a week, so it's all good. 65 degrees out, perfect.

Had a craving for pizza so I made it with a cauliflower crust and I have to say it is mighty tasty! Even two of my boys said it "wasn't bad" for cauliflower. I entered all the ingredients and it came up with 380 for the whole pizza (it's about 6-7 inches in diameter. I used only mozzarella for the topping and shredded parmesan in the crust, plus an egg white, not a whole egg that the recipe called for. Italian seasoning and garlic powder and a whole head of raw cauliflower, which when processed and squeezed dry comes to about a cup and a half. Weather is suppose to hit 70 tomorrow! Can't wait to open up the windows and air the house out.

I'm going to try a low carb day today. I was looking over my food journal and see that the carbs are high. The thing is, it's not from breads, pasta's etc. but from fruit, which I love. So I'm going to try to do a few low carb days in my week to mix it up a little. Not going to give up fruit, love it too much, and with summer coming all the good stuff will soon be on sale lol. Also need to exercise more. Weather is improving so may get outside to do some walking. Can't wait for warm weather so I can play tennis again.

Snow on it's way in, so done with cold weather! My MIL had surgery Tuesday. She had her appendix taken out in January and when the results of that came back, it was cancerous. It took them four weeks to get her in to see if it was anywhere else and it was. They took out the right side of her colon and she had a total hysterectomy (she's 72). Then did a chemo wash. In all it took 10 hours! We were all hoping when they went in, there would be no hot spots.... Not sure what the plan is now, whether she will do chemo or what. She's still recovering, not taking visitors yet. This is not my husband's mother, but stepmother of 11 years. His mom died of Ovarian Cancer 14 years ago - that was so hard, she was a second mother to me. I really hate cancer. Working at a hospice, I see it everyday (I do medical records).
