168.8! =) Only 18.8 more pounds to go! =) I'm feeling in a better frame of mind today. I left work early on Friday, then couldn't log on from home, so ended up cleaning and going grocery shopping, until Hubby could figure out what was wrong with the connection (uuummm yeah, basic problem…the internet cable was unplugged from the docking station! Doh).

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions on how to get myself out of this funk feeling from last week's bad news. I ended up going to Wholefoods and buying a bunch of fresh veggies, and found some BEAUTIFUL Tropical flowers, that reminded me of our honeymoon in Kauai. In Kauai, there was this huge palm tree outside our bedroom window that reminded my husband and I of a "Las Vegas Showgirl's headdress", and the flowers from the bouquet were from that tree! I had candles lit, and dinner made for when hubby came home…I also served us lemonade (because the Pina Coladas would have been way too many points) in some fun fru-fru glasses, and rented 3 movies for us to chose from. It was perfect, and just what the doctor ordered :) We have also been trying to go for a walk every night after dinner. We walked out, and the neighbor across the way from us was standing out there with his little boy, while donning a pair of shorts with black socks and loafers on (looked AWFUL! Hahaha). He said, oh geesh, don't look at this old man. I said, old? I'm pretty sure I'm your age. He said, oh no, I'm WAY older than you are. So I said, how old are you? He said, I'm 41. LOL! I laughed, and said, ummmm, I turn 40 in March. We left for our walk after that, and hubby said, doh! I think you shocked him and disgusted him at the same time! So that was a good feeling that he thought I was waaaaaay younger than him. =)

The rest of the weekend was relatively spent alone, because hubby had to study for his all day class on Sunday. I ended up running some errands…and having to go buy 4 baby gifts for 3 friends that had their baby's, and 1 friend who is expecting theirs. Was hard seeing all the cute little clothes, the pregnant mommies' walking around shopping…but I just kept my mind focused that I was happy for them, and that my day would come.

Sunday was a decent day. With losing almost 40 pounds…I've found that all my clothes are baggy on me, and I really didn't have any clothes to wear for our upcoming trips! We are going to Philadelphia this weekend, then on vacation to Prince Edward Island the following week…and then come back for two weddings (one on the 29th and one on the 30th). I went to Kohl's and Lord and Taylor. I found some great….ah hummmm….SIZE 10!!! Dresses that fit! Down from a 16 just 4 months ago! One if a burgundy color, the other this deep teal (I'll post photos after the weddings). Now I just need to find some cute matching shoes! I've found that I'm a solid size 10 now in everything…including jeans! :)

I also stopped by a friends house that has the most adorable kitten!!! She's a mix with a Siamese kitten....seriously adorable! Check her out :)

That’s the kind of weekend it was….ups..and downs…but today is sunny outside, I'm making Chicken Tikka Marsala tonight and going to do arm exercises tonight as both of those dresses for the weddings are sleeveless! =) hahaah

Thanks again for all your support and kind words…it really does make a difference. =)

Thank you everyone for all of your postings to my journal yesterday and all the private notes sent to me. Hearing of your experiences, stories and support are so helpful to me, more than you'll probably ever be aware of.

Yesterday I felt so, not really sure how to describe except for using the word "blank". I found myself driving home last night, and constantly having to shake my head to stop me from staring off and not really paying attention to where I was driving. Even when I got home, I sat in the parking spot for a moment before heading in to see hubby. When I walked in, I couldn't even cry, I just feel so flat right now. Hubby is great, and so supportive. I told him I was sorry, and he immediately told me not to say that, that I have nothing to be sorry for.

Definitely feeling in the poor me mode right now, family members have major personal things going on right now, that don't allow them to think about anything else but what they are going through, and I understand that, but when you're going through something like this, you just want to know that they are at least thinking about you, even if you don't want to talk about it (thank you Mom#2, hubby gave me your message…just didn't have the energy last night to talk).

So here I am today, sitting in work, trying to focus again. Boss told me that I could work from home today, but honestly, being at home, only makes me think about it all day long, because hubby is in school all day today. I'll probably head home at noon today and work half day at home. I need to also call the fertility specialist as she never did call me yesterday like the nurse said she was going to.

So again, thank you all so much for your support. I really do believe it helps me get through these things quicker.

Been feeling pretty good, and emotions in check, which has been good :) The extra meds only seemed to affect me the first few days, but then seemed to level out. Went in for my blood work and ultrasound this morning, so we'll see what that brings. I'm not overly hopeful as the nurse said that she saw only 1 egg developing on one side…so I'm bracing myself that when we get the call later today that they will tell us that we need to stop again…but, who knows, I'm not a doctor, and they might surprise me with good news =) Trying to stay positive, but we just haven't had good news since we started this journey. I'm just ready for some answers/decisions on the IUI cycle. I think the hardest thing by far with this fertility thing is the waiting….and waiting….and waiting.

Keep your fingers crossed that we get some news to continue with the shots, as it would bring us closer to completing our first full cycle!

This will be a bit of a longer post...because I'm posting the recipes you wanted. =)

What a long day...but....being swamped today, seemed to keep my emotions in check today. which is a GREAT thing! Feeling more bloated....maybe thats a good sign with these shots? who knows.

First off...Cage and 08...the Lavash Bread I get is found in most general grocery stores. its called Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Flour Lavash Bread. 2 points for the whole wrap...and I love them. =)

Here is a recipe that I came up with based off of one of my favorite sandwiches from a local restaurant.

Sauteed Portabella Mushroom and onion rollup :

Cooked mixture:
1 large onion, sliced
1 24 package of baby portabella mushrooms, sliced
1 TBSP minced garlic
2 TBSP Lite Balsamic vinegarette (I use Paul Newman's Own)
salt to taste

Alouette light Garlic & Herbs spreadable cheese (or other 1 point spread)
lettuce (I use mesculin greens)
1 Tomato, sliced thin
lavash bread

In non-stick fry pan, spray with cooking spray and sautee onion for 2 minutes, add mushrooms cook for another 2 minutes. Add garlic, balsamic vinegarette and salt, and cook until everything is sauteed (or wilted). Set aside, and let cool (can eat it either cool, or luke warm). For each rollup, spread 2 TBSP of alouette on lavash bread, add lettuce, tomato and using a slotted spoon for draining excess liquid, spoon mushroom mixture in top. Roll everything up, and enjoy!

I just made this recipe last night....was SOOOOOO friggin good! Hubby and I are still talking about how tender and yummy it was! It came from the Fast & Fit cookbook by Ellen Haas.

Chicken and Mushroom Marsala:

1 1/2 TBSP Olive Oil (I only used 1 TBSP and it worked great)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, weighing 4 to 6 oz each
salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 Cup flour for dredging (I used 1/8 Cup of a Whole Wheat Flour instead)
8 oz mushrooms, sliced (I used 9oz baby portabellas)
1/3 Cup Marsala Wine
2/3 Cup low-sodium chicken broth (I used the 99% fat free one)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (I didn't use...forgot...hahah)

Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet. While the oil is heating, season the chicken with salt and pepper and dredge it in flour.

Sautee the chicken over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken to a platter and keep warm (I put it in the oven at 250)

Add the mushrooms to the pan, season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally until tender. Add the wine and stir with a wooden spoon to release any caramelized bits that stuck to the pan. Cook until the wine is almost completely evaporated.

Add the chicken broth, chicken and any juices that have accumulated on the platter. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.

Remove the chicken to the platter, and keep warm. Simmer the broth mixture until it has reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Spoon the sauce over the chicken, sprinkle with parsley and serve.

This recipe is seriously sooooo good...and with my changes noted above, its low in points.

Hope you all had a great day! =)
