I am feeling pretty well about my dieting. I am enjoying the foods that I have been preparing and the added exercise is making me feel LOTS better. I had really forgotten how much I missed having an exercise program. Even though I am a pretty active person, I really like the idea of setting aside dedicated time for myself to do exercise that is not related to farm work.
I think that continuing to lose weight at the current rate (2 lbs. over 2 days) is probably not realistic, but I am very happy that I did lose some weight!! I am hoping that this success will help me stay on track. I would really like to develop some muscle back and shed the fat. I guess my goal weight is really not very important to me so long as I can fit back into my pants and, most importantly, I start to feel healthy again.
Cheers!!! to lemon juice, feta cheese, lettuce, and other delicious mediterranean foods. YUM!!

I was pretty unreasonable over the holidays. I also quit using tobacco about 6 weeks ago. I guess it finally caught up to me, because I have been the same weight (give or take 2-3 lbs.) for the last 3 years. I have consistently stayed 132 lbs at the most and ALL OF THE SUDDEN (ha ha ha) I am weighing 140 lbs.!
SOOOO, after trying to put on my normal pants (which all 6 pairs are the same size) for a Christmas gathering on the afternoon of the 25th, and realizing that I could not fit into ANY of them, I decided I had better do something to change the situation.
Admittedly, I have been extremely lax since I quit chewing tobacco. I made excuses about my junk food consumption. I never really ate large quantities of junk food in the past. A tiny bit here and there. I have always been extremely conscious of what I put into my body. IE; no processed foods, no colors of food that aren't found in nature, try to avoid packaged foods, avoid all trans fat and chemical preservatives.
Granted, I drink Bud Light like there might not be any on the earth tomorrow, but as far as the rest of my lifestyle, I'm pretty healthy.
So, I'm making a commitment to myself (much like I did when I quit tobacco) that I'm WORTH IT!! I need to make the time for myself to EXERCISE!! I always feel better when I do it, so I have no idea why I have been neglecting myself the PLEASURE for so long.
That's all for now. It felt good to keep a food journal today and to set aside time for myself to do some moderate exercise. I can't wait for tomorrow!!!! YAH!!!
