Was very pleased to note that I dropped four pounds over my last recorded weight. This encourages me to keep on going. I am already finding myself feeling better overall, and it is more to do with restricting the number of sugar grams than the actual weight loss. What was that knees? Oh, pardon me, I am glad you approve.

Co-worker brought in Donuts today. Seems that Krispy Kreme has a promotion where you get a dozen doughnuts for 77 cents after purchasing one at regular price.
I was able to resist. In previous times I may have relented, but find myself health-wise in that place where I cannot afford that. For me it isn't anymore about looking better. I passed that stage years ago. For that matter, I also have passed the "to feel better" stage too. Now I am at that stage where you are poised on the precipice of diabetes. Staring into that abyss. One slip and you could find yourself sliding into a situation where your life expectancy is affected. I have to remind myself of that during temptation times. It has become a life or death choice now. Sounds a bit dramatic, but still valid. Motivation: It is the drive behind every great achievement!

Beginning to get further into the Belly Fat Cure Diet, as I gradually persuade the wife to overlook her natural beliefs about healthy eating and start to prepare meals suitable to my needs. Have already lost 44 lbs in the past two years by using simple methods like portion control, and elimination of sugary foods. Now have begun to see success in restricting sugars from all sources to 13 grams a day. This plan enabled my daughter to drop 50 lbs in just a few months (she exercised like crazy too). I am not planning to be that aggressive, and feel a more leisurely loss is better for my health at the stage of life I am presently in.
Joined a forum; looking for support and encouragement.
