OMG Please let me get through the holidays. I have not started on my Atkins plan yet. I am a sugarholic.
One day I was feeling bad and decided to weigh. I weighed 289 lbs. Decided then I needed to give up sugar ( there is always sugar in most everything.), but my problem was cake, cookies, pies, etc.
Have you tried Walmart white cake with white icing, to die for. You can get 1 oversize piece at the bakery and I would buy one and eat it on the way home or 3 doughnuts on the way home. Didn't want my husband to know how much I was eating. You get the idea,. Any way I have not had any cookies, pies, cake etc. for the last 3 months. It was hard. Gradually giving up other carbs.
Anyway having the whole family for Thanksgiving ( grandkids, great grandkids) and my husband insists we make pumpkin pie, pecan pie cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, Chocolate eclair cake.
Homemade yeast rolls. My husband loves to bake but really doesn't eat sweets, so not having any in the house has not been a problem. I DO NOT WANT TO START EATING SWEETS AGAIN. I hear you saying just one little piece won't hurt. Your wrong, like an alcoholic it never stops. Anyway wish me luck, pray and I will let you know how I do next time. Is there a good sugar free pecan pie recipe. LOL I use Splenda.
