A few weeks ago my weight had hit an all time high. I hit 186. I wasn’t taking my synthroid or metformin the way I was supposed to while indulging a little too much on gluten, so I felt like shit and looked like shit. I have watched my coworker dwindle down quickly and steadily, and I’ve watched her blood work continuously improve on keto, so I decided to make the switch. I’ve lost weight before. In 2011, I fell back into disordered eating and lost about 53lbs in 4 months. I maintained for a while before going off my meds and blowing up. I went from a 10/12 to an 18/20.

Anyway I lost 15lbs my first week. Stepping on the scale had me in disbelief. I haven’t weighed myself again since I started my period because I didn’t want my bloat to discourage me. I haven’t noticed a physical difference, but a few others have commented. I was a little sad my mom wasn’t more excited like I was. But 🤷🏼‍♀️I guess that’s being an adult.
