I found I kind of go with a combination of diets. As long as it's healthy, whole, natural food it doesn't matter to me which "diet" I'm following. I stick to natural, non-processed foods. However I do have the occasional cookie or ice cream cone. I won't deprive myself & don't belittle myself if I have some junk since it doesn't happen that often. Too strict of a diet makes me crazy & I don't stick with it. Besides, I don't look at it as a "diet" in the sense of loosing weight but a lifestyle change. I don't force anyone to eat like me, I don't preach the benefits of whole food...You do your thing & I'll do mine and we'll get along just fine.
