Well I suppose it had to happen eventually. I fell off the wagon HARD. I was down to 243 yesterday, then proceeded to have one of my worst food days in recent history. Lots of chinese food for lunch, a big burger and fries for dinner, and 2 slices of pizza with chips late at night! Then, to really make sure I did the damage, I only got 4 hours of sleep so my body couldn't process any of it properly.

And wow, am I paying for it. Up 4 pounds (and not water weight) and today I feel sluggish, heavy and lethargic. I'm determined to get back on track though - don't let one bad day ruin a diet right? I've also modified my contest: originally my mother and I were in a weight loss contest (monthly weigh ins, the winner getting a cash prize each month) but it was not conducive to a supporting environment when we were together. We would encourage each other to stray from our diets, etc. So now there is a new contest: for each 10lbs we lose combined, we'll each put money into a joint fund for a fun trip/outing/etc.

Hopefully this new arrangement will enable us both to lose faster!
