athletic all through school....stayed in good shape ..tried all the fade diets...none sustainable...Male, age 57, plant manager and real estate on the side. married..started whole food plant based june 20 2017..I weighed 220 lbs and now 168 lbs I have loads of energy and eat all I want. I exercise,but not to lose weight. I enjoy helping other when they really want it.

I am whole food plant based lifestyle. I have been doing this since 6-20-2017. I am now 173 lbs. My weight in high school was 168 lbs and when I started this 9 months ago I was 220 lbs. I would be lighter but lift weight on a regular basis not for building but for toning and strength. I was a low carb person for 4 or 5 years..this is a better way to live for me (eat all I want). Some of the youtube people that got me going.. Jeff Novick (caloric Density) Dr. Joel Furman...Dr. Carl Esselstyn...(and son) Dr. Michael Greger (nutritionfacts.org) and yes Chef AJ...these are the main ones but there are more...also Netflix Forks over knives and what the health. You can take a lot of this and modify for you own lifestyle..depends on what your goals are...weight loss or health or both not to mention you get to eat until full and not go hungry....I know not everyone agrees and that is OK...I worked works and in working for me...BEFORE(5-20-1917) and AFTER(2-20-191Cool less than a year and eat like a pig !!!!!!!always open to help

my research has told me that for each ounce of alcohol consumed your fat burning stops for an hour...I like to have a little from time to time but have to keep that in mind.....the body will move to processing alcohol over fat burning....youtube it...plenty of doctors and nutritionist there... most have I'm sure. I think the Liver is the decision maker here.

progress
Started June 20th at 220lbs and now at 185lbs on a whole food plant based diet...very little SOS "salt oil sugar" no processed foods and eat until full...have been on many diets in the past but this is a lifestyle way of eating and it works.also a B-12
