Don't give up on trying. Take it one day at a time. In 2 months time you will be so happy about your decision to stick with your 'first day'. Getting through week 1 is always the hardest.

please don't give up Michellean77 - Something_gnomy is right, you just have to take it a day at a time...one meal at a time. you can do it. whenever you feel you are about to cave in/give up...just pop a message here and we will be here to support& motivate you.there are many of us who have had over 100s of "first days"... point is when you chat to those who finally win the fight against fat..they had to fall a few times before they could finally stand up properly.

just keep on keeping on, we let ourselves give up easily for a slip up. it’s nothing, keep at it. think big picture

It takes time to stick! Hang in there, it took me 12 years to get it right!

If the method of weight/fat loss is not sustainable then failure is imminent. What method of weight/fat loss are u following?

Try stop eating at around 6pm and also find pictures of your goals - I find that helps me! Try and do something drastic just for one day or maybe two and once you start losing a few hundred grams you kind of get addicted to the positive feeling!

Good advice Kaylin, I usually go through the weight-loss transformations on Instagram, so motivating to see before and after photos. For that reason I have a 'before'. Because this time around I know I am going to get an 'after' as well.

Start small and do not overwhelm yourself with a strict diet, gradually get there. Start off with the first week cutting off any take outs and buying lunches at shops, following week sugar in coffees, and cereals etc. Then no white carbs. Try alternatives like honey instead of sugar. Importantly take it one day at a time. Do not look at 30 days look at reaching your small goals. Like my first is breakfast, then i say good next goal snack nxt goal lunch. I break it down because the minute you look at so many days in front of you it makes you feel sad and that it is impossible. Also do not be hard on yourself.

Have been doing a lot of research of how to go about loosing weight the healthy way, I'm a secret eater, so the first thing I did was tell everyone that I need to loose weight, that way I have numerous pairs of eyes watching me, it's scary and I feel judged, but right now I feel that it's needed.

when I started cutting back I allowed myself to eat healthier options but I could eat as I chose to for 1 week. During this time, I didn't count calories so strictly but then started cutting out unhealthy choices like AudreyFlemming suggested to you. I found that if I was well nourished it was easier to make healthy choices. I also removed all the unhealthy options from my house so that when my will power was lower I couldn't eat unnecessary calories.

im also unemployed so i eat out of boredom. it's easy for me to get in my car and go fetch unhealthy calories

Life is not about never falling, but about getting up every time we fall.

Over the years i have had many 1st days...and sometimes succeeded..but always slowly falling back into my old bad habits... but this time I think it will be different, first time i have actually had supporters and kept a journal..really if you come to think of it..you don't want to disappoint them or yourself, although they will just encourage you to start again..really excited about maintaining my weight, once I achieve my goal.

I am also unemployed at the moment. I am using the opportunity to take care of myself and set up healthy habits while I have the time and energy. It's not easy to keep myself motivated to do that as I struggle with emotional eating but I am only accountable to myself and at the end of the day our behaviour (not what we say we will do) is what counts. I plan my meals for the day on the morning when my motivation is high and then check in throughout the day to keep myself on track. good luck!I think the fact that you care and are pushing yourself shows progress!
