fatgirl2fit's Journal, 11 January 2018

Its been a week of exercise (5 of 7 days) and eating clean so I am a little disappointed at the drop. I am hoping that the next 7 days will reveal better results and i will tweak my diet a little as well to see what works. I am also measuring my progress and will see if there is a difference when i measure this weekend.

Apparently +/-500g is exactly in line with what you should lose if you’re eating right and exercising. I think you’re on the right track. Keep it up.

5 days of exercise are going to leave your muscles sore so they will retain water as part of their repair process so don't be discouraged by the weight loss looking as though its too less. It's actually good!

Also take note of type of training you doing, if its muscle related you might be going down in body fat. most times the scale is just a number. Also NEVER weigh after training, we weigh more.

I see you are doing weight training so remember body fat is probably going down, take measurements, photos and see if you cant find someone to take your body fat percentage and recalculate it after a month. Get a good feel on your clothing too.

If this is within 1 week it's absolutely normal. Im pretty sure the optimum / healthiest way to lose in the long term is something like 0.5 - 0.7kgs per week. Anything over especially in the 1kg and up range is losing more than just fat. I obviously could be wrong.

yes, When you lose too much weight too quickly its usually muscle mass and thats not the route to take
