I’m on keto. Not the ultra high fat version but the keto gains version. After the first few days, for me it was 3, many people lose their appetite so carbs don’t hold such an appeal. For me that lack of hunger has remained steady except on days where I am very bored and want to graze all day. I find that if I get all the protein eaten for the day I really don’t want anything else. For example. Yesterday I had my protein in the form of pork loin. I sat down and ate a whole plate of meat and had no room for anything else. I tend to eat once a day as well because I have no hunger. I should have had more fat yesterday and did plan to do so. Had I done that I would have had cream cheese mixed with SF syrup which is like a cheesecake - my favorite! I am still learning as I go but this is my experience with keto. Others use almond flour etc to bake breads or you can make yummy crackers by backing cheese. Hope this helps

The craving is in your head, your body doesn't need them right now. You don't need to give up carbs completely, cut them back to under 20. Choose veggies for your carbs. I agree with Newnbetter. It's a science experiment is the way I look at it. Try one way for awhile if it works stick with it. If not switch to another woe. Just remeber it's not forever, you can add foods back when you get to goal. Good luck!

Try this recipe for almond "bread" - 4 tablespoons almond flour (24 grams), 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 egg - mix altogether in a small bowl and microwave for 90 seconds. Cut in half horizontally to make a sandwich. Can be lightly toasted.
