I realized today that instead of depriving myself of certain foods, I should start slowly by eating healthier first. I've made some poor food choices during past 2 months, which have resulted in my gaining of weight over the latter half of sophomore year and all of winter break. Recently, since I've been commuting from home, I've been eating mostly what my mother cooks for me at home. She's a health FREAK, so she makes sure that whatever goes into my body is HEALTHY. Surprisingly, it hasn't been that bad and I'm getting used to not eating burgers and tacos on a weekly basis. The closest thing I had to junk food the other day was Mongolian BBQ, which I ate for dinner. That was a kind of poor decision on my part because there was a massive amount of noodles. And I ate it for dinner. Which means that it went straight to my tummy and butt and thighs. But no worries. I've realized that slowly but surely, I'm starting to feel myself change. Today, instead of reaching for the mocha chiffon cake in my fridge, I reached for my bag of mangos. And instead of eating Korean glutinous rice cakes, I ate some green beans and mushrooms that I made. It was delicious and satisfying. I'm proud of myself. My stomach is slowly starting to go in, but I still can't fit into my jeans. It's frustrating, because I can only fit into one pair of jeans, but I know that with a little effort on my part, I'll be able to fit into my pants in no time. ^^

HEY! I know how hard it can be losing weight...frustrating and annoyning when the scale doesnt budge! Actually, I stuck to only consuming 1200 calories a day and exercising for at least 40 minutes. How you manage your calories is you write down everything you eat, and once you have reached 1200 your not allowed to eat anymore for that day! Here i am 21 pounds lighter! And feeling good! Good luck on ur diet doll! u are beautiful!

Healthy living is 70% nutrition, 30% exercise. It's really encouraging to see the awesome effort you are making to change what you are eating. Regarding the jeans; it's very difficult to burn fat off on a particular area, but this simple exercise will really help your core (abs/lower back) and gluteals (butt) If you have a swiss ball, it'll work your core even more. It's called the swiss mountain climber. If you don't have a swiss/exercise ball, try to find something similar in height, like a park bench. Place a hand on either side of the ball and be at an angle like as if you were going to do angled psushups on it. Lift your left knee to your chest as high as possible(don't look down or you'll score yourself right in the chin = pain!!), shoot your leg back to the start position, do the same with the other leg. Repeat ~100 times as quickly as possible. Be careful regarding cutting back calories dramatically, you will slow your metabolism and your body will start to consume your muscle and save your fat to survive. You hit a plateau, get discouraged and start eating, and gain lots more weight cuz your metabolism is so slow. Ideally, you should only be creating a ~500 calorie deficit each day. You really shouldn't be eating less than 1400 cal for *long term* fitness. Hope that helps =) good luck
