Tbaygirl's Journal, 11 September 2017

Feel very good about my first week down a total of 7.8 pounds can't argue with those results - hit my exercise goals and hoping to keep the trend going a bit more challenging this week as I'm out 3 nights this week, so have to find a morning workout to start doing.

Scale has been put away for another week, it's almost freeing not to have to face it everyday.

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend:)

Nice going! Scale withdrawal is no joke. --- You're re-inspiring me on the food-prep front. Just bought a pile of frozen vegetables so I can wrap up the meal packets I'd started, then slacked off on. --- Maybe soon I'll get inspired on the exercise front. :-)

Looking good! However, keep in mind that the first week or so you'll see a nice loss, but most of that will be water and carb loss. The following weeks won't be as drastic, and are fine! After the initial water, etc loss, you'll start losing fat and will start to see some really exciting things happening, even if you DON'T see a scale movement.... Like adding a new notch to your belt in a positive way! Like your pants not fitting as tight as before. Or, as my personal favorite so far, fitting into a restaurant booth and my belly NOT touching the table! Amazing things are coming! Keep going!

Thanks Cranky I'll key all that in mind - I think putting the scale away during the week will help with taking the focus off my weight and more about how much better I feel - just starting to get back to regular exercise helps too as I'm starting to feel more fit or at least moving in that direction lol

Crankybuzzard: You hit it on the head. Every time I go to a restaurant I ask for a table because I didn't know if I would fit. Last week went to TGIF and I was "swimming" in the booth (50 pounds lighter than last year). What a great feeling!

Measure now, and then once a month. You'll be astounded that when the scale isn't moving, inches are melting off.
