Tai-Lin's Journal, 15 August 2017

I don't usually write in my journal much, but i hit a milestone today, and i have to share! This morning i weighed 175.5 (down 0.4 from yesterday), and my BMI was 29.96 (first time in the 20's, even if only by 0.04!). That was one milestone. The second was that for the first time in YEARS i was "overweight", instead of the usual "obese"! That made me feel so good! For some reason, though, it was all i could do to get through my usual 10 minute "run". I have no idea why i felt so less energetic. I am also a bit concerned, because i have an appointment on Thursday for my right knee, which is bone on bone. I have already had two or three shots in it, and i know he wants to do surgery, but i don't want another surgery now, so he will probably give me another cortisone shot in it. If so, i really hope that won't keep me from doing my Wii Fit exercises ~ i honestly believe that, although i only do a little every day, it is what is causing me to lose the weight i'm losing. I don't think just eating what i am eating, without exercising, will be enough.
175.5 lb Lost so far: 24.5 lb.    Still to go: 20.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 5.6 lb a week

Keep up the good work. I exercise everyday as well even if it's just 30 minutes. Some days I can go a couple hours. I agree tho just changing eating habits alone is not enough. I have a sedentary lifestyle (job) so I do chair exercise, lift weights, run in place. Just anything to move my body!

Congratulations, Tai-Lin! That is so fantastic and I know how hard you have worked to get here! Maybe all your energy today was expended "celebrating" your fantastic goal!

Great job! I know a lot of people that would laugh at anyone celebrating being overweight, but not me! I recently went from morbidly obese to just obese and I called it a win in my book too! Congrats!

Try intermittent Fasting, it is supposed to work without exercise. There's a girl on YouTube that used to be a professional skater that blew her knee that swears by it and she's ripped. She does lift. She follows a Keto/IF WOE.

Thank you all for you kind words and encouragement. I think it helps a lot to have others who are going through the same thing be there for you and applaud your successes and encourage you to keep on, despite occasional steps backward. Thank you for being here with me on this journey!
