Weight is way up after weekend visit with my Mom - Outback, a pub, Ruby Tuesdays, you name it.

My sister got me a Fitbit device for my birthday - turn the big 4-0 tomorrow, and I'm hoping that will motivate me to get up and moving! I had hoped to be a lot smaller by tomorrow, that didn't happen, but I'm not going to let it depress me - going to just get back in the game.

On Fitbit I joined the 10% challenge - try to lose 10% of my weight. That would be 23 lbs for my weight today. If I could lose that, say in the next 4 months, that would be great! Gonna try!
227.8 lb Lost so far: 5.2 lb.    Still to go: 87.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

I was reading up on the fitit and wanted to give it a try. The only reason I have not got one is the price, lol. My budget just won't allow it right now. (Cleaning up the bills also!) Keep us posted on what you think of it.

Soulnoid - My sister got one for her, and mentioned it to me. I looked into it and said, "No way - $99!", so I started looking on ebay, thinking I might get the original model, since the new model is "ultra". Then my sister bought it for me - at $85 on Amazon - I still wouldn't have paid that much for myself, but since she bought it, I'll use it! I'll let you know what I think - I've only had it two full days, so not sure yet. It can track your sleep, so for instance I can see how restless I was last night, woke up 14 times during the night, compared to just 3 times the night before. That's different and interesting. As for the step and stair counting, this device is much smaller that pedometers I've had in the past, and the wifi linking is nice - so you don't lose your data.
