I made a discovery, my friends! If you're talking on the phone with a friend, and forget about time, and you have eggs boiling on the stove, and you let them boil long enough ~ they will explode! It's rather messy, too. Thankfully, it wasn't as hard to clean up as i expected. And i managed to save the yolk of one of the eggs, and i ate it. What a waste of six eggs! Lesson learned. Just goes to show you ~ you are NEVER too old to learn!

There was a good part to the day, however. Despite my over-eating on my trip to Easter WA and OR, i lost the extra couple pounds, and was down to 182.3 this morning!! Haven't seen 182 in quite a while!
182.3 lb Lost so far: 17.7 lb.    Still to go: 27.3 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 4.9 lb a week

Thank you, MPaolaPaz. It WAS funny ~ later. LOL I heard this loud bang, and since we live out in the country on 7 acres, and the neighbors shoot off guns fairly frequently, i told my friend that that particular shot sounded VERY close, and i had to go check. That's when i discovered the egg (only one exploded, although all were ruined) ~ on the stove, on the counter, on the floor, and in a few unexpected places. Sorry it happened to you, as well. I will be setting a "check on the eggs" alarm next time.

BTW, don't panic over the "rotten" black bananas! I brought them home from my trip (in the ice chest). I didn't think they would actually touch the ice, but they ended up in it somehow, and had already turned color by the time i got home, about a six hour trip. I peeled one and it was fine. I'm going to try and make a banana walnut bread with the rest of them. Will give most to my daughter, but may eat a tiny piece . . . or two . . .

So funny about the eggs. Can be quite wicked if you were in the kitchen with them (speaking from experience). They really hurt when they hit you and burn you too! I used to put my bananas in the fridge when the kids were little and they did turn black, but lasted longer. They both had food "texture" issues.

Heating eggs uncovered in the microwave are fun also. Lesson learned. Congrats on your weight loss, though :)

Sorry about the eggs - happy for your recent trip to WA and OR. I gotta say, the Pacific Northwest has some of the best weather in the U.S. Low to mid 80s where I live, 20 miles south of Portland, Oregon, blue skies, low humidity. Feel sorry for the wet, scary, and/or extremely hot weather some of you other folks are experiencing.
