ghosh! what did i do different! threw caution to the wind and ate as much and what i want......well, well well.
198.0 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 37.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.6 lb a week

Sometimes that spike in food does something and helps people lose. But I wouldn't recommend it all the time, lol!
