mrsriddell's Journal, 20 February 2010

I am sooo sad today. Feeling very defeated. How can I not lose weight eating as little as I do and excercising as much as I have? I just dont understand. I need to seriously pray about this and give it to God. Ive worked hard, the rest is up to Him.

You have lost 7 pounds in less than a month. Look at your chart. I think you are losing just fine. Your weight fluctuates, but most people have fluctuations. Staying the same for a few days, even a week or more is normal too. Have you been taking your measurements? Are your clothes fitting better? Sometimes we lose fat/inches but don't see it on the scale as much as we would like. All that exercise will help you firm up because muscle is more dense then fat and makes us go down in sizes. The scale is only one way to measure weight loss. It doesn't tell the whole picture. My friend stayed the same on the scale for 4 months, but she went down 4 sizes (because of all the exercise). You are doing great things for your body. You should be proud of yourself. Just keep going, drink your water, and exercise and you will eventually get to goal. Patience and persistance will get you there.
