This is what happens when you don't weight your food and write everything down.
169.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 2.1 lb a week

I don't think it's so much not weighing your food and not writing it down. Seems that u just aren't following the diet correctly. If it isn't working for you and it seems really hard to follow then I would say the G.I. diet isn't for you. You need to be able to enjoy the foods you eat still and feel comfortable with a diet before it will work for you!
