puhpine's Journal, 09 January 2012

Although today i gained a little again, i feel on top of the world. Yesterday i had another moment of weakness, but i realized today that this is going to be the story of my life, and i better get used to it... weeks on end in the zone, then one day of endulgence, and then another week or so to get back on track! trying as hard as i can, just never give up trying!!!
So today i try again, and still it is the comfort-food in the evening after my hubbie gone to bed, that snares me. So what did i do back in september when i started?
-0 eat just the right amount of calories (1700 a day for me)
-1 be warm and comfortable!
-2 have no comfort foods in the house
-3 no tv (or at least no commercials)
-4 go to bed early

Because i felt soo good, i made my hubbie feel good, and he made me feel even better by telling me how good i looked. And we loved each other a bit more today. He even gave me a present, that he had wanting to give me on a special occasion (like today). memo to me: make hubbie feel good more often!

So now back to work... lets see how much work can be done while feeling good ;)

It sounds like a NICE day for you, my friend. I am so happy to read this. There is nothing like feeling good, and I am sure your journey here on FS is a big part of it. I too have a passion for post-dinner treats. I solve it by having low calorie ice cream in the freezer at ALL times. It's great, low on calories and completely does the job for me. Maybe that could be a solution for you? If you're just counting calories, there should really be nothing wrong with having a dessert or late night snack, as long as you count it. :)
