I've reach my first goal!!! I just wish I felt better about it.

Part of me realizes that I don't feel 100% this morning because I was up with my son last night a few times last night and I need some sleep (incidentally, he is exactly 7 months old today), but also given what the scale said earlier this week, I was actually expecting a larger drop.

**Begin Rant** On the other hand, is 254 really that big of a deal? I know I can't take a second step without the first, but I've been this weight before...lower actually, but at the end of the day, it's just a number on a scale. Don't get me wrong I feel head and shoulders better than I did four months ago. Heck, two months ago, but there is something missing. I have to think about working some resistance training into my day, but I don't see that happening until our basement is finished, at the earliest. Until then I guess it's just walking and recreational swimming. **End of Rant**

We are throwing a birthday party for my oldest this weekend, who turns 4 on Monday. That should throw me into better spirits leading into the weekend. That and a good night's sleep, that is.

I've weighed 285 and 254. 254 feels better on my joints. I'm much older than you, though. 229 feels a lot better than 254. Heck, I feel skinny. With little ones, you are probably on the move most of the day.

for your resistance training....go to nearby health supplier and buy 2 meters of tubing....it is tough rubber and when tied in a knot gives a great resistance tool for arms, legs and neck (doulble chin) back and front....

Thanks, All. I felt better as the day went on. I had a great walk at lunch time and I reached 10,000 steps early in the evening. After I rocked my youngest to sleep, I made one of my favorite recipes for dinner...with a few variations. I substituted shiritake noodles for whole wheat pasta. It was a reasonable facsimile, so I feel satisfied for a fraction of the cals and carbs. I was hoping we had regular turkey sausage and I didn't realize the stuff from Schwan's was stuffed with Monterrey Jack. It fits in my plan, especially with the shiritake noodles, so I'm not going to worry about too much. Good night everyone. I'll check in in the morning...
