I have to stop kidding myself, I have diabeties because of my weight. I was diagnosed with diabeties type 2. After trying to drop some weight my doctor finally convinced me that I actually do have diabetes, its not in my family, so it must be because of my weight and eating habits. I have agreed to started taking metformin and my doctor says that if I lose weight and make better choices in the food I eat, I may be able to get off the meds. This is my goal to lose 10 lbs (I'd love do to 20) by my next doc appointment in March. I'm thinking the 20 lbs may be unrealistic, but I'm going to try.
