Can you overdose on B3? I entered my food so far today into chronometer.com and for today so far in at 279% of my recommended B3.

Trying my damndest to eat 100% vegan today. For breakfast homemade veggie lasagna and pistachios. Maybe a red bull because I got up too late to make coffee.
210.4 lb Lost so far: 3.6 lb.    Still to go: 70.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 0.6 lb a week

Thanks! Thought I'd just try slipping in the back door and sitting down at the kitchen table like I'd never left. Oh and I brought about 35 of my friends that I thought I had lost.

Are you taking B3 (niacin) as a supplement or is this what is naturally occurring in your foods? B vitamins are water soluble so they won't store in your body but a large amount could throw off your balance of other B vitamins. If this site is saying you're getting this much from your meals I would guess that there is a flaw in the program.

It's better to take a B-complex (as trackin' said) then you are getting them all in balance, which will help you more than just the one alone. They are water-soluable ... you pee them out. (Bright yellow pee). LOL!

I hope you don't mind me commenting. I took a peak at your previous journals. The Starch Solution - oh, no, no! I hope you're not following that diet anymore. That is so out of date with current thinking. I am trying to convert my diet to high fat, low carb. I know it's the way to go and I'm still getting my head round it myself, and still give in to carb cravings to be honest, unfortunately. But despite my weaknesses, I've read and heard so much about the high fat diet, I will keep striving to do this and I will never go back to a low fat diet. I hope you will start reading up on this too. Good luck!

I have a feeling the excess was from the red bull which has high quantities of B vitamins. Currently I'm on the shovel food in my face diet which is why I'm back here after a long hiatus. ;)
