It's frustrating to me that I have actually gained weight. I do not actively exercise, as I am workning full-time and going to school full-time working on my Masters, but I also do not really have time to exercise.

Frustrating. Frustrating. Frustrating.

I'm trying to figure out a way to change this, but I can't.

What exactly do you find frustrating about it? Logically you know that you are not actively exercising & therefore cannot expect to be losing weight. I could see you being frustrated if you WERE being diligent about diet & exercise & just not seeing results. The one change I can recommend that will make everything else fall into place is your attitude. I'm not saying you have a BAD attitude, but you are not approaching this in the spirit of finding a solution & instead are saying "I do not have time to exercise" & "I'm trying to change, but I can't" as if those are final states. You have to realize that framing your thoughts that way allows you to avoid being accountable for what you are choosing to do & not do. In reality, you do not MAKE time for exercise. You do, however, make time for work & school. And if you don't start believing that you CAN change this, you won't. Period. Don't allow yourself to cop out by saying you can't do it. You just haven't figured out how yet. When you're ready to approach your weight loss/improved health as something you HAVE to do no matter what, then you'll make some progress. I have juggled working on a degree, working a job, & having a family so I'm not accusing you of making excuses. Since I didn't have time for the gym some days, I would walk the 2.5 miles from my office to class to get my cardio in. If I got to class early, I would go up & down the stairwells until class started. I never took elevators unless I was going up more than 5 stories. I planned my meals & packed lunches. It can be done.

I was on this site for over a year before I actually started to use it correctly, make friends and hold myself accountable. You'll do it when you're really ready. Just make sure you do it while you only have 13 1/2 lbs to lose, not after you get to the size I was and have to lose 150 lbs. We're here for you when you're actually ready. Good luck with the classes.
