I did it. I survived Thanksgiving! Long live Indulgence Day! :)

I gotta admit I ate more and spent more calories than I expected to do, but I only just barely managed to get to my RDI for Indulgence Day. I ended up at 3250 or so, and I was supposed to eat 3500. I think it's fine though.

What a night we had yesterday. It was amazing food all the way, Wife did an incredible job cooking, and what the guests brought was really awesome too. I loved every bit of it, and that was probably the problem. Cursed be chocolate pecan pie! LOL.

Anyways, I had prepared by doing a full hour on the exercise bike yesterday morning, and had even been standing up instead of sitting down for some hours at work just to burn a little more (actually, to my surprise, at LOT more) calories. I was ready for the feast, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was great to hang with good friends, and just have a good time.

Last night, though, I had trouble sleeping. I'm thinking that the problem was that I had WAY too much coffee, and this seems to affect me now after I lost weight. In the "old days" I could drink a pot or two and sleep like a rock. No more. I have to switch to decaf, or I won't get any sleep.

Well, yesterday we had the deli-coffee out, hazelnut, toffee and all kinds of other flavors, and just enjoyed them. Too much caffeeine for me, and that meant a night of eyes wide open.

So I went to sleep around 11 pm, woke up at 1 am, laid awake until 3 am and then got up. Wife would wake up around 4.00 - 4.30 and get ready for work. I am off work today, so I don't have to really get up, but since I couldn't sleep I figured I might as well.

So what did I spend time on? Well, first I looked at my food journal yesterday. I felt HORRIBLE about it - as I often do after Indulgence Day. I know I'm supposed to do it, I know it works, but I still feel bad overeating like that. So I went for the exercise bike and gave myself a full one-hour workout on it. It felt great! Maybe I am actually starting to LIKE this?!? Could it be? Nah... :)

So bottom line is that I gained less than I feared that I would. My fat percentage is at an all time low of 11.7, so this means that the weight gain is NOT fat, but just "stored food" that needs to be processed. This goes perfectly together with the size of servings I had yesterday. :) I ate a LOT. So all in all I think it's a weight loss for me even though Thanksgiving dinner. We'll see in a few days.

Saturday, I will again skip Indulgence Day. I will consider yesterday my day of going nuts for both last week and this week. I feel more comfortable doing it this way.

Today, I will help washing the dishes (there are MANY!), and generally pick up after the party. Then I will go visit my parent's grave, and then I have a few private meetings. My little project is taking speed. I am curious to see where it takes me. Then, tonight, I will be rocking with The Black Peanut. I'm looking forward to that. A Lot.

The weekend, we're loading up on movies and will just relax and enjoy ourselves.

Today, I am thankful that I have an awesome band to play with.
I am thankful that my tummy doesn't hurt after yesterday's feast.
I am thankful that I only gained a little more than a kg, and that it doesn't seem to be a fat gain.

Have a great Black Friday everyone! Do some shopping for me!

It is already tomorrow there while still today here!!! I did a fine job of eating at least 3204 calories today. Feeling a little like the turkey I stuffed earlier today right now ... but everything was delicious!! My mom joined me ... we had fun trying to eat enough calories. She is actually shy still a little but says she CAN'T eat anymore!! I however, slightly exceeded my minimum I think. She says she isn't going to weigh tomorrow. I will, I want to know. I want to track how it goes ... so I know if this is a good choice for me. Hope your day is lovely ... keep up that exercise boy ... it is addicting!!! LOL!!

So happy that you had such a successful party. Oh and by just relaxing this weekend you surely mean after you have gotten of the bike, right? ;)

@Moose - It's a good idea to weigh daily, I think, as long as you are aware of the massive fluctuations you'll see. Just don't panic over it. It'll disappear again - PROMISE! :) @Sunshine - Bike? What bike? :D

Well, with the way I felt like I was pigging out (and compared to last year I realy didn't) I really had to get back on the bike if I wanted to ever look myself in the eyes again. :)
