Ugh... I feel sick today. This will have to be a short journal, as my head is pounding and I can't see straight.
There's a virus floating around Denmark, and haft the office has been down with it, so I think it's probably my turn. Headaches, coughing, fever etc. Not good.

Anyways, it came overnight, so yesterdays behavior wasn't really affected by it. I ate as planned, and stuck to everything.

In the evening, my neighbor stopped by. They've been on vacation and we have been "apartment-sitting" for them. To thank us, they brought candies for our Saturday Indulgence Day. It's nice of them, but I really don't want too many sweets in the house. I was low on calories, and I decided to have some to "up" my intake for the day - since I had room for it. So I measured a portion, and put the rest away. Then I put them on the table next to my exercise bike to make them a reward after I was done exercising.

We watched the last episode of Terra Nova (it's a pretty good show - I recommend it!), and I went full blast all the way through it - all 45 minutes! After a quick shower and getting a cup of coffee, I sat down to eat the candies. Then I realized, that if I ate the candies I might as well NOT have gone on the bike. The candies would have been 450 calories, and I belive I burned around 300 doing my exercise. I wasn't gonna lost that! So I had three candies instead and put the rest away. Man, that felt good. I was really proud that I was able to just put them away. It was really no big deal.

So here I am, just got up to eat a little break fast, then heading back to bed again. I am just having my two mandatory morning eggs, nothing else. I don't have too much of an appetite. But as we know, we don't really start burning calories until we eat, so breakfast IS important. That, and a huge glass of water to fill me up and to cool down the fever a little (hopefully).

Did I mention that men generally get sicker than women? ;)
I am of course joking, but today I'd buy that argument in a second.

So how did I do yesterday? Well, I dropped a whopping 1.1 kgs, and I am now down to 85.5 kgs - 200 grams away from a new, lowest weigh-in. And it's only Thursday. I wish I could get out and do some exercise, and burn more calories. I'd like to do a kick-ass weigh-in for Saturday. That'd be nice.

Last thing, before I go to bed a gain - I wanted to thank my buddy Lee Shelly for putting up that super nice thread in the forum. You know the one. That just COMPLETELY made my day yesterday. :)

So sorry you are under the weather. Boo. But WOOT, WOOT, WOOT!!!! for the weigh-in!!!! AWESOME!!!! I too am very proud of your choice around the exercise and candy. A perfect example of being mindful. Paying attention, not operating on auto-pilot but truly thinking it through. Get some good rest today and hopefully whatever this virus is will pass quickly and you'll be right as rain!!! By the way ... have I told you lately how much fun it is to have you as a buddy? Well it is ... thanks.

Thanks, guys! You make me smile all the time, and THAT makes me feel better, headaches and sore throat or not. No exercise today - I don't have the strength (and I did go pretty hard at it yesterday on the bike). Wife is making awesome veggie/chicken/jalapeno soup for dinner. Can't wait! :)
