Got two additional diagnoses last week...lactose malabsorption, fructose malabsorption. Cute. Now I've got 4 special diet pamphlets: acid reflux, gastroparesis, and the two new ones.

Trying to figure this out. Best thing...seafood is a go. Glad I like avocados. Aged cheese is usually okay, but other milk products may be problematical and milk is in so many other foods. Glad there is a pill to counteract lactose. Wish there were a pill to negate fructose.

Sad: wheat, rum, bread, more fruits and veg's are all on the OUCH list.

Unfortunately, many simple candies are not on any list, which is such temptation when so many other good snacks are out of bounds...nuts,dried fruits and veg's, many milk products, &c &c &c.

I've made a bag of pasta cleaned out of our cupboard to give away...I've been buying non-wheat pastas at coop store and Cub Foods and some other places to replace them and DH is willing to eat them as long as I cook. I suspect I'll do a lot of shopping in organic-hippie-alternative-ancient-from the farm aisles.



169.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
