I have gotten way off track & feel plenty guilty. We have coupons to eat at sonic. Buy 1 get 1 free. So we have been using them. Of course, all of that is bad in every way. I have been eating alot of ice cream(fat free). I have not been walking as much as usual. I do not feel like cooking like I use to. I have been under alot of serious stress lately. I try to stay calm but it is almost impossible. As soon as things look better here another bomb goes off. Could this inspire me to eat the wrong things?! I do not overeat ,I just eat all the wrong things. How do I get back on track at a time like this?!

You could start by re-reading the book and doing a week of phase 1. Stress can wreck havoc with your emotions causing you to crave high carb sugary foods. Hope you get back on the wagon.

You really need to get those walks in everyday... alone to clear your head and get rid of some of the built up stress in your body. I know it may seem like you don't have time or feel like crap but it is the best thing to get your serotonin levels back up to help you stay happy! Don't walk to lose weight, walk to fight the stress and depression. Plus you know we are all here for you!

Walking and other types of exercise have been proven to be great stress busters. If you find it hard to get motivated you may want to get a friend to buddy up with you. You may not be motivated to spend much time in the kitchen, but if you consider how beneficial it is to your health that may help keep you out of the drive-through lane!! Also, don't beat yourself up over your slips as that only makes you feel bad and then you do even worse. One final thought: are you really saving money with those Sonic coupons? If you are eating things that are bad for you the cost of healthcare when you get sick will cost way more than what you saved on that free meal. Good luck and get back on the wagon!
