BrandyRelaxing's Journal, 18 September 2011

So the scale has spoken, and it said MUCH better things than it did last week! 1.6 pounds down!

My goal was 2 pounds down this week, but given that I only worked out once so far, and was over my calories 3 days out of 7, so I think 1.6 pounds is a HUGE achievement!

So next week I'm teaching again. This time it's at a hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia (near Maine for those of you in the US). So again, abundant calorie-dense food. But, I know I have survived this twice already, so I can do it again!

I only teach Monday to Thursday and Friday to Sunday the DH is coming to check the city out with me! He's always a good influence and makes the good decisions with regards to food, so it's good that he's coming!

He hotel has a small gym and a small pool, but at least I have options once I finish teaching.

So off to pack and then fly to Halifax tonight... oh, and complete my assignment and complete my preparation for the course. YIKES! I'm in trouble! Too much to do, too little time!

1.6 pounds is awesome - very happy news indeed!!! Enjoy Halifax! If you like fish there should be lots of healthy options - it should be good and fresh! Do you have any free time while you are there - we went and saw Peggy's cove (total tourist trap now) and continued along the coast line where we saw some beautiful little towns including Chester where the yacht was "invented"

WELL DONE! Yay for you - see what good things happen when we don't starve ourselves? I took advantage of both pool and gym on vacation this year and it was great. I would love to visit Nova Scotia one day - my art teacher in high school used to travel there every summer in her airstream and paint watercolors, and they were really good watercolors, too. Good job and get some fun in with the work.

woot.. good job. Traveling is always hard. For me it is almost like a free pass to eat like a maniac. Good luck and have fun.

1.6 pounds is good. Any amount down is a step towards your goal, and that is important. Every step counts. It may take a year, it may take two, but you will get there. What's truly amazing is to look back and realise that you have come far. You've shed a huge load of weight so far. That does make it easier to engage what you have left.
