So an increase in total scale weight used to bug me... not anymore! so I gained 1 lb and I was eating very clean for 98% of the time and the one time I indulged, I still maintained a deficit... so a weight drop was anticipated. However, I also started weight training again, and today's weight training involved many sets and reps ... above the entry level weights I was using for the last 2 weeks. So I suspect my muscles are holding some water for repair work. But, I also took my measurements and calculated my body fat and found that my lean body mass had increased... yes, muscle does weigh more than fat!

I believe that. The tale of the tape is just as or even more important than the scale.

On Pinterest, it shows you a picture of what a pound of fat looks like and muscle. There is a big difference. Muscle is more dense and takes up less room so you can get smaller and not see the scale change. But you are most likely holding water from strength training. Just keep going. It eventually evens out.

CK, Dude that is over half the battle right there knowing that you are doing the right thing and not letting a pound bother you-good for you that you can see this and once you get everything back on track with the weight training, what your eating, and other exercise you will certainly see it drop back off.
