So all around today the news is better than I expected. The GYN appointment has shown that the cyst burst (I expected that to be the case what with that nasty bout of pain the week before last), and my weight wasn't as bad as I had expected (being in at 209). So that makes me feel a lot better, more capable of getting back on track :)
The GYN will contact my PCP to see about putting me on a kind of birth control that will help with the beard that keeps sprouting out of my chin--I am so thrilled at the thought of that going away! (I hate the damned thing and the fact I have to pluck it every other day). The MRI results had come back clear so I expect that the PCP will be ok with the med addition. We'll see.
