Keidrake's Journal, 16 August 2023

Had my 6 month post op appointment with my gastric bypass doc yesterday. I thought I had done well losing weight over the last 6 months even if the last month I couldn't exercise because of the accident. Lost like 93 lbs since the surgery but by their numbers that was like 35% and they wanted me to lose between 50-60% of my excess weight by 6 months. I'm not stressing it though, everyone's body is different and its not like I haven't made the changes to my diet and life style. The doctor's office also doesn't promote strength training and want you to focus more on just walking/running. So I know I gained muscle over the last 6 month as well. I'm firmly in a 2x in tops now, and even have a couple 1x that fit..mind you they're kinda more flowy.

Guess my next goal is getting to 150lbs down. Also going to continue down the path of recovery and seeing the doctor's and specialists.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

@moko13 Thank you. I'm still celebrating, but its always a let down when you don't meet goals the doc sets for you.

@jenjabba I plan too! lol Once the doc lets me get back to exercising. I know I'll have additional limitations when that does happen too. They were very clear about that when they got the mri results for my back.

@Awisortega That is awesome!! I'm glad I went through the whole process that I did just to get to where I currently am. I'm still moving forward towards my goal weight each day, but it's just very slow since it's dependent on only my diet right now.
