Ah I've become a serial weigher again! Hiding the scale back in my closet for a week. On the plus side this is the lowest weight I've ever recorded on FS. I reached it once before back in September I believe and then plateaued out and started gaining (switched BC). I'm a little worried about that happening again. I'm also a little worried because my weight is dropping so fast. I mean... I'm not complaining after my 4 month plateau but it's weird to me.

Went for my first run in almost 2 weeks this morning. My calves felt so springy! It was way easier than I thought it would be. Go figure. It's easier to run when carrying less weight. Suddenly I'm without 4 pounds and each step knows it. It's like going from running to pants and a sweatshirt to shorts and a sports bra.

I have friends coming up tonight with their 2 boys. One is 3 and the other 5. They're fantastic kids. So I've been picking up all my child hazards in the apartment. Found a container of bleach, spray can of scrubbing bubbles, box of thumb tacks, several safety pins, switch blade, entire sewing box with needles, a loose needle, and a lighter all within a foot of the floor. LOL, it's a good thing I don't have kids. They wouldn't be doing so hot. But I think it's looking pretty good now. The only thing I've worried about is the rats. One of the boys is allergic to cats and dogs and maybe rats I guess. Also they like to "taste" you if they don't know you; which would freak me out as a little kid and as a mother. Well, I'll just explain and I can always move the cage into my room for the night.

Alright, off to work! Happy Hump Day FS!

Your apt is a death trap LOL ;) JK You kinda threw me for a loop on the rats thing at first though haha They'll be fine and at their ages, they should just be sticking random things in their mouth. Hope you have a great day, awesome loss, awesome on the run!

Haha, oh I totally forgot that most people view rats in their apartment as a bad thing! Nope they are caged and friendly, not chewing through my cereal boxes and making as mess. I'm sure the boys' mom will be in charge enough that it will go well.

and I just realized that should be *they should NOT be sticking...* whew...Well, after you talked about the cleaning products I thought you were leading into a joke...lol...A friend of mine had pet rats and they were pretty good, until one peed on me and then I was done ;)

LOL your apt sounds like my bedroom... a terrible death trap for tiny humans. I do agree with Shanna, they should be old enough to know not to put things in their mouths randomly but kids will be kids... as for the rats, I had to stop reading for a minute because I was like... wait what??? lol

hehe thank god I wasn't the only one that kinda squinted at my computer screen, like...wait...is she joking? did she mean cats?...read a lil further...OOOOH I GET IT!!

Haha, sorry for the confusion! I know very little about kids and their ages. I'm always expecting a 3 year old to look and act like a 1 year old but they're not even close. By the time they're 5 they're way out smarting me!

Holy Hell, you're getting close to your goal! I love how you describe your run and having "springy" calves--that made me giggle. Your house sounds so child friendly...HAHAHAHA! I never knew you had pet rats, I don't think I've ever met anyone that didn't run screaming from them. Happy Hump Day!

Tubbs! Nice to hear from you again! My apartment is child friendly from about 7 up since it's stuffed with video games and some sports stuff. Up until then I am apparently not a good babysitter. My rats are sweet, they're fairly new and I'm not sure I mentioned them before. They're like little cats that are scared of everything (they weren't handled much before I got them).

Rats are uber smart one of my best friends had them when we were in highschool... he used to be able to put them on his shoulders and walk all over - outside and inside the house and they would never move lol.

I had a therapist that had rats and she would wear them on her shoulder and they would curl up in her hair. I have always wanted one but I have a dog who like to eat things now.

I keep hearing this thing about rats and shoulders; mine hate being picked up still so it's hard to transfer them from hand to shoulder. Then they freak a little. I'm trying to work on it with them. They're really funny though. I'd totally recommend them to anyone.

They will get better, his eventually got to the point they would climb his arm to get there.. I love them, I just live with a person who dislikes rodents...lol

The tasting thing . . . parrots do that too. I have a cockatoo and an African gray. You can imagine what people think when those enormous beaks reach out to their fingers to take a nibble. LOL! I have a friend who has rats. They're very sweet and she adores them. I'm always fascinated by all the fancy toys and runs they have.
