Ha. Well, that is what I get for not working out for a week. And not tracking my food. Just general laziness. Of course I have all the usual excuses. Too busy, too tired, too whatever, but there is no arguing with the scale. Sitting there in the corner of my bathroom, just below the sink, I see it every morning. It is a shiny blind judge, unbiased in its assessment, but all the same I assign it a cruel demeanor, stern and disapproving. I am all to aware that my failures will be reflected in the numbers it presents. I look away unable to meet the cool glare of florescent light off its smooth surface and I step up. Slowly I turn my head to receive my judgment. Oh. Not as bad as I was expecting. Huh. I'll try harder next week.
