I know no one will believe me but FORGET ABOUT THE CALORIES. FORGET ABOUT THE CARBS. I can't believe I didn't do this earlier there's this ONE diet that will make you feel alive(literally feeling so good and alive) and so clear minded. It's the raw vegan diet (or Raw till 4). If you think it's a bad unsustainable diet, omg, just wait until you try it. This is my seventh day. Basically eat as many fruits and vegetables / raw natural things until 4pm and then eat as many potatoes / sweet potatoes / gluten free corn pasta as you want. I'm not joking (you can find the evidence everywhere I recommend watching Freelee the banana girl on Youtube) THIS IS AMAZING. I never feel hungry but when I eat I don't feel guilty or heavy - I feel light, energetic and amazing. You can even eat as many dates as you can (make sure they are organic and 100% no preservatives or any added ingredients). Trust me, everything is going to be good on this lifestyle. Everything will change.

I think veganism, and raw veganism are both great ways of getting more fibrous vegetables in your diet. I think its the high fibre keeps things moving, ups your metabolism, and gives you the light energetic feeling you are talking about. I have a friend who is on a vegan diet, but I keep trying to convince her to get more protein. She barely gets enough of that, and its really important to add protein to your diet for a balance of nutrients. I suggested black beans, lentils, and even soya protein isolate. If you mix the soya powder with soya milk, and a chopped up frozen banana, and blend it makes an awesome tasty smoothie.

Oh thank you for the tip ^-^ The smoothie sounds yummy. Luckily I do get enough protein nowadays - when I started I only had around 35g but I use a site called cronometer (to check upon nutrients and minerals in my diet) and now I know that I get around 50g - 60g of protein each day. I add sprouted seeds and plenty of beans into my diet too so I have no need to worry. Thanks again for your recipe I shall try it (I am a soyaholic and I haven't had soya milk in ages!)

Pulsin Soya protein isolate was the one I used, I got it from Holland and Barrett.

Oh cool thanks! I'm a regular visitor at Holland and Barrett - will check out the protein.

Just to be clear, I don't want to be telling people what they should or shouldn't eat.
