The past two weeks have been hard for me. I know there are times we struggle with our weight loss, but that knowledge doesn't prepare us well for dealing with it when it happens. Part of the problem has been that I've been busy, but I know I use that as an excuse to eat poorly and ignore my diet plan.
I am grateful that school is back in session, that gives me daytime for going to the gym and other projects hindered by having kids around. Starting next week, I am hoping I can get myself on a good routine with eating and exercise. This weekend we are camping and that's going to throw all my routines for a loop. I ask you all pray for God's strength against temptation and guidance on the best way to handle each situation in regards to food, exercise and my health in general.
What's really irritating is that last week, although I didn't report it on this site, I did have a gain - on my birthday!!! I don't think it's fair to ever see the scale go up on your birthday. It depressed me and I ate too much last weekend. Which lead me into this week. I did weigh on Tuesday and I'm thankfully down two pounds from that point.
I have a funny story to tell. For my birthday every year I get a Papa Murphy's Chicken Bacon Stuffed Pizza (I also get Crazy Chocolate Cake - but that's not important for the story). I had told myself I was only going to have one piece of pizza. I ended up having two and half (I know - bad Melody). The funny thing is that when I was just starting to convince myself that I wanted another piece, we heard a crash sound in the kitchen. The dogs had pulled the rest of the pizza off the counter and ate it!! They saved me from even more calories. Silly dogs and it irritates me when they eat the butter off the counter, but I'm grateful to them for this.
